Transformers or commonly referred to as Transformers are devices that are used to increase or decrease alternating voltage (AC). Transformers (Transformers) are designed in such a way that almost all of the magnetic flux generated by the current in the primary coil can enter the secondary coil. The shape of the transformer (transformer) is almost the same as the Faraday induction ring, consisting of two coils namely the primary coil and the secondary coil which is wrapped around the soft iron core separately.
The way the transformer works is the same as the principle of electromagnetic induction. Where alternating current through a conductor (wire coil) will cause a magnetic field. The magnetic field in the first coil automatically induces the second coil. The first coil of the alternating current source is called the primary coil. While the second coil where the current induction occurs is called the secondary coil. The induced current in the secondary coil always flows in the opposite direction to the primary coil.
